Uniform: Our preferred uniform consists of the following items:

• Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan, royal blue or white polo shirt, printed with or without the school logo

• Royal blue or white shirt or blouse

• Charcoal/Black trousers or skirt or pinafore dress

In summer:

• Blue gingham dress

• Charcoal/Black shorts

• Royal blue or white polo shirt, printed with or without the school

• Backpacks

 The Education (Guidance about Costs of School Uniforms) Bill has been passed this year which put into place rules that see families get the best value for school uniform.

This Bill includes making school uniform easily available and consist of items that can be bought cheaply - for example, in a supermarket. Branded items must be kept to a minimum and schools need to avoid specifying expensive items of clothing.

Children should wear the appropriate clothes and footwear for school activities. Jewellery is not allowed apart from a wristwatch (not of the android variety). For pierced ears, only small studs are permitted and these have to be removed or taped over for safety during PE and similar activities.

For PE/Games activities all children should have a complete change of indoor and outdoor kit, e.g. shorts, t-shirt, socks, pants and trainers. Tracksuit tops and bottoms can be worn in the Winter and Spring Term. Please feel free to make it old stuff you don’t mind them getting dirty!

For Forest School all children should bring a complete change of old clothes (this needs to include a long sleeved t-shirt and long trousers to prevent scratches from brambles etc, sun hat/coat/wellies - (dependent) on the weather and a bag for the dirty clothing.

All clothing, whether uniform or not, should be clearly marked with your child’s name – permanent pen on the garment label is perfectly adequate. Shoes should also be marked.  Name tags can be purchased from MyNametags.com.
